Gemma is not only a 5000m and 10,000m specialist, but following the birth of her son has turned her attention to the roads, where she has gained valuable experience over the longer distances. This has included her debut Marathon at Melbourne in 2023 where she won in a time of 2:35. Gemma also has a half marathon PB of 73min, which she did on the Gold Coast in 2023.
Completing the Osaka marathon in 2024, Gemma has also increased her knowledge around running in a highly competitive international marathon.
Gemma has also been coaching for over 6 years with Run2PB and has guided numerous athletes through races from the 1500m through to the Marathon. Being a mother Gemma has learned a lot about balancing training and life and also the care that needs to be taken when returning to running following giving birth.
Gemma has been a 2-time Australian Representative in the World Cross Country Championships in 2015 and 2017. She returned from a full-scholarship over in the US where she attended Idaho State University and has learned the value of consistency in achieving your goals. Results don’t occur over-night but are the result of consistent training over an extended period, consistent strength work, consistent sleep and recovery and a consistent healthy diet.
Gemma continues to pursue her goals on the Track, Cross Country and out on the roads and has a passion for assisting other achieve their own personal bests. With her many years of experience, different training methods and a zest for all things running she is here to assist you to chase your own Personal Bests over any distance.
