Matt Davy
Auckland Marathon Champion
Matt has been running competitively for over 20 years,
where he has competed at a state and national level. He has also been coaching with Run2PB for over 6 years. This has included coaching the 2023 Melbourne Marathon winner, along with numerous other athletes to debut marathons and PB's in a range of distances from the 5km all the way up to the 100 mile.
Matt started specialising in marathon running in 2014, where in his debut at the Melbourne Marathon finished 12th in a time of 2hours 24 minutes. From there he has competed and gained invaluable experience in the Chicago Marathon, Lake Biwa Marathon and Rotterdam Marathon. In 2017 he won the Auckland Marathon.
Throughout his running journey he has built up a wealth of knowledge around different training principles, strength and conditioning, mindset and nutrition.
Matt is a firm believer that running does not only bring about health benefits, but is a fantastic stress reliever, gives you the opportunity to see some amazing sights, allows you to meet fantastic people and builds your resilience.
